Every Biryani Has a Story. Ours Begins with a Spice Box.
Some family treasures are locked away in cupboards. Ours sat on the kitchen counter, opened every single day - a humble spice box, its brass worn smooth by three generations of hands.
A grandmother’s kitchen
The box first belonged to a grandmother in Vijayawada, in a kitchen crowded with brass pots and clay jars, where every recipe was made with patience. Nothing was measured; everything was remembered. The cardamom went in when the ghee smelled right. The saffron waited until the rice had rested.
From Vijayawada to a changing Hyderabad
When the family moved, the spice box travelled with them - across the river bridge at Vijayawada, all the way to a Hyderabad that was changing by the day. One generation passed it to the next. The city around it grew taller and faster, but inside the box, the spices stayed the same. So did the flavour.
Old recipes, a new kitchen
Here, the old recipes found a new kitchen without losing their essence. The same slow layering, the same patience, the same promise - now cooked in a modern kitchen and layered into every biryani we make.
And now, the story reaches your doorstep. When your order arrives and you lift the lid, you’re opening the same spice box we did - just one generation later.
